Harper Lee and the Filming of "To Kill A
Mockingbird"
Novelist Harper Lee traveled to California to witness the filming
of her Pulitzer Prize winning novel. By all accounts, she was
fascinated by the process. (for more about her experience,
see Chapter 8 in the book "Mockingbird, A Portrait of Harper Lee).
In 1989, the American Film Institute honored star Gregory Peck.
Lee was asked to contribute to the booklet reviewing his
film career. In it, she wrote about the film experience and Peck.
